Visited Shiokaze Teppan on 13 Nov 2023 as we were too tired to travel out from hotel for dinner. It was a hidden gem! We seated infront of teppan grill. Food was delicious and cooked to perfection by the chef! We ordered tori and gyu firetto teppanyaki. One of the best teppanyaki I tasted. It was so yummy that I cannot resist and ordered saba teriyaki and yakitori for second helping despite feeling full. The food was so good that we called our friends to join us too, everyone was happy! Chef was friendly and checked with us on how's the taste and any feedback. We will definitely be back again when visiting Desaru in future!

It’s been a real pleasure of an experience. The teppanyaki is really good, and especially the salmon. That’s a must to try. Epy was also really friendly and even explained the use of the sauces and ingredient, and how it all synergises to create a flavour that’s just right. Lunch time is also rather sparse, so you can enjoy the atmosphere all to yourself.

Nestled within the elegant ambiance of Sand & Sandals Desaru Beach Resort and Spa, this Japanese culinary haven shines brightly, offering delicacies that wow the taste buds. From the sizzling teppanyaki-style Angus beef tenderloin to the mouthwatering yakitori and flavorful garlic fried rice, each dish is a testament to culinary excellence. The unagi nigiri sushi is pretty good too, cuz my 6 years old son gobbled down 3 even though he’s already full after finishing a bowl of udon noodle soup. It's evident that the masterful touch of the head chef graces every plate, ensuring a dining experience that is nothing short of perfection. Whether you're seeking an alternative to the Western and Chinese cuisines in the area or simply craving authentic Japanese fare, this establishment comes highly recommended.

We ordered yakitori and beef teppanyaki. Both are yummy. Even the miso soup, garlic and sauce are good. The staff, Nadzirah and Epy, are also very nice. Epy, the one who cooked for us, was attentive and accommodating with our requests.

The beef sirloin, yakitori, miso udon, and garlic fried rice we had for dinner were all very delicious. Highly recommended — it’s one of the best place to eat near Desaru Resort area! 추천합니다!

The teppanyaki could be better in my opinion. Nevertheless is still above average and can be acceptable as there not much options. Surprisingly their fried rice are not cooked on top of the wok. The meat is quite good.
